ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES FOR INCOMING ERASMUS STUDENTS

 

The University Language Centre (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) organises free Italian language courses from level A1 to B2. Access to the courses is reserved for incoming Erasmus students of the Federico II.

They take place in two periods of the year:
1st Semester: September - enrolment opening July
2nd Semester: February - enrolment opening December

Courses above A1 level are preceded by a placement test.
The courses are intensive, last 50 hours and attendance is compulsory to access the final.
At the end of the course, after passing a final test, students will receive a certificate awarding the 7 CFU/ECTS and for A1 and A2 levels also the Open Badge.

Erasmus Incoming Federico II - Italian Language Courses (September 2026)

Who can register:
Foreign students who have won an ERASMUS grant from the University of Naples ‘’Federico II’’ arriving in September 2026.

Cost

Free

Mode of delivery

Mixed (the first two weeks, starting from 1 September, lessons will be entirely online; from 14 September, some lessons will be held in person).
The courses are intensive and will last 30 days for a total of 50 hours (30 online and 20 in person).

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory for 75 percent of the class hours. Erasmus students who have reached the minimum required attendance will have access to a final exam by which they can receive a certificate (with grade and credits) and, for students in A1 and A2 courses, also a digital certificate (OpenBadge).

Course schedule

Courses will begin starting from September 1st, 2026. The schedules will be published on the CLA website.

To register and take the placement test
To allow the division into level groups, students will have to take a placement test online, by accessing this link https://forms.office.com/e/1ngw6PwaXq, active from 30/06/2026 until 20/07/2026.

Placement test (deadline 20.07.26)

The placement test is used to divide the students into classes according to the level. The student should take the test independently, without external help. The test consists of 5 sections: personal data, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening. The test is available for one attempt only. Once the test has started, the student has 1 hour to complete it.
