On Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at the Complesso Monumentale dei Santi Marcellino e Festo (Largo S. Marcellino, 10), the 5th Intercultural Dialogue Day will take place from 11 a.m. onwards, entitled ‘We, citizens of the world. Travelling, growing, dreaming'. 

The event, organised by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo in collaboration with the SULIEIA project, will particularly involve foreign and Erasmus Incoming students attending the Italian Language and Culture courses organised by the CLA. 

The aim of the event is to enhance the experience of travelling in its various forms, whether for study, work, pleasure or as a life project: our students will have the task of guiding us and transporting us, through various presentation and interventions, to the their land, proposing hidden gems and giving travel tips; members of the University's staff will also take part in the debate, sharing their experiences of working abroad, within the framework of the various exchange and mobility projects. 

Through the words of Prof. Vittorio Celotto, we will retrace the - Neapolitan - stages of one of the most famous journeys in literature of all time, that of Dante through Inferno.

After the lunch break, offered in the Cloister of St. Marcellinus, interested parties will be invited to continue the exchange by participating in a Language Tandem session, assisted by CLA experts.

The event will end to the sound of music around 2.45 p.m. : we will be delighted in fact, by the sweet notes of Neapolitan classical music with a live performance by Pasquale Pirolli and Mimmo Matania, of the Associazione Culturale Napulitanata, who will perform for us pieces related to the theme of emigration.

Also in the Chiostro di S. Marcellino there will be an exhibition of all the works realised by the students.  

The event will be free admission, subject to availability.

The non-verbal communication of native Italian speakers is to all intents and purposes an anthropological and sociological phenomenon. Italians communicate even without speaking, using their hands, eyes, body and facial expressions. Italian gestures are an essential adjunct to the study of the Italian language for all those who really want to learn to converse in this language. To discover them, attend the seminar 'Gesticolare' in collaboration with Rita Raimondo, Italian L2 teacher and director of NaCLIPS. There will be a theoretical and a practical part.
