The University Language Centre acts as a centre for some of the leading international certification bodies, offering University students and external users – including school pupils – the opportunity to certify their proficiency in French, English, Italian as a foreign language and as a second language, Spanish and German. The Technical Office for International Language Certifications is the University department to contact if you wish to sit an international language certification exam or take a placement test to enrol on a preparation course for one of the international certifications administered by the Centre, which are intended for students enrolled at Federico II.
All students duly enrolled at the University of Naples Federico II, and, where applicable, external candidates holding a valid residence permit, may sit international language certification exams at the University Language Centre.Any certifications that can be obtained remotely are issued directly by the certifying bodies and not by the University.
By clicking on the page for each certifying body, you can access all the information you need to sit the certification exams.Placement tests are held twice a year: in September (with bookings in June) and in December (with bookings in November). The link to the notice posted on the noticeboard will be visible on this page and on the ‘Courses’ > ‘Courses for students’ page.

or by appointment.
Certificates must be collected in person by the candidate or by a representative authorised by the candidate by sending an email of authorisation to certificazioni.cla@unina.it
