Exploring the Nuances of Inclusivity in the Life and Music of a Great Composer.
As I set out to write an article on Tchaikovsky and inclusivity, I soon realised that it might be hard to mention them in the same breath. Indeed, it is virtually impossible to say definitively whether Tchaikovsky can be really viewed as an inclusive classical composer, for the concept of inclusivity is a relatively modern one and would not have been a primary concern for artists of his time, who lived in a vastly different socio-cultural landscape.
