The Italian L2 Library "Petru Birladeanu"

The Italian L2 Library Petru Birladeanu of the University Language   Centre has been set up to support   didactics and research into the subject of the teaching ofItalian as a second language and as a   foreign language.
  The   Library is part of the library system of University Federico II and is   catalogued on Opac, the electronic University Catalogue.

The Catalogue is accessible from any Internet workstation and enables users   to find volumes in the library.
  Access to   the wide range of electronic resources through the SIRELIB portal (Electronic   Resources Integrated Services)
  http://www.sirelib.unina.it/ is possible solely from the workstations   within the library and for those in possession of an Unina account.
  Electronic   periodicals can be found with the "Trova riviste" link: by activating a   category search, and limiting it to the "Arti e scienze umane" category,   "lingua e linguistica" sector, the available electronic reviews are   visualised. Other resources (data bases, portals...) can be found through the   "Trova risorse" link and by activating the desired search.

  3. 3. Sector C- Dictionaries and Grammar   Books;  
  4. 4. Sector D - Textbooks with   exercises and texts for teachers;  
  5. 5. Sector E - Professional Languages   (specialist sectors)  
  6. 6. Sector F - Italian as foreign   language (LS) and Italians abroad;  
  7. 7. Sector G- Italian for   certifications;  
  8. 8. Sector H - Italian for old and new   media, Internet;  
  9. 9. Sector I - Italian and popular   culture;  
  10. 10. Sector L - Italian and   immigration/emigration (multiculturalism- Interculture);  
  11. 11. Sector M- Conference proceedings

 It is   possible to set different search strategies, using a simple search by key   words in the title or the author and to find the available bibliographical   information, and to access further services, such as Google books, where   parts of the volume may be available in digital form.     
The library, located in CLA, Via Partenope 36, is open Mondays to Fridays from   9.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m.
