The project

The EULALIA project, coordinated by Pasquale Sabbatino and drawn up together with Prof. Vincenzo Caputo and Ing. Raffaele Di Fuccio, was funded as part of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership KA2 - Higher Education program. Based on data collected from EU reports, University Language Centres are key to teaching and learning the language of the country where students are housed. The EULALIA project aims to improve/integrate the learning methodologies of the Centres of European Countries (Italy, Spain, Poland, Malta) for Erasmus students through the development and provision of innovative tools focused on the mobile learning paradigm, the game-based methodology and the application of tangible user interfaces. Mobile Learning starts from the ability for students to access learning resources on their mobile devices (smartphones or tablets). In this way you are able to organize your own learning program regardless of the time and place limits. The game-based approach is a common practice widely applied in language teaching. A huge number of smart device APPS, some very popular, apply gamification models to attract students. The EULALIA project aims to include a new aspect in this framework: an approach based on learning/teaching processes with tangible (reference) interfaces. The EULALIA project aims to fill the virtual environment of most game-based learning tools with the physical and tangible world of real objects, providing a hybrid approach (digital and physical at the same time)
