The Goethe-Institut's examinations are renownedand recognized worldwide as official certifications of knowledge of the German language. Some examinations also serve as proof of the language skills required for admission to universities in German-speaking countries.
The Language Centre of the University of NaplesFederico II has been hosting the international Goethe-Institut examinationssince 2012.
Goethe-ZertifikatA2: candidates possess elementary language skills
Goethe-Zertifikat B1: candidates are independent users of the German languageand can interact in most every-day situations
Goethe-Zertifikat B2: It certifies that candidates have acquired advanced language skills.
Goethe-Zertifikat C1: It certifies that candidates have acquired very advanced language skills.
Goethe-Zertifikat C2 (GDS): it certifies that candidates have reached thehighest level of linguistic competence.
The exam is only for students enrolled at the University of Naples Federico II. External applicants are not allowed.
Students have to enroll on the Goethe Institut site.
Students will have a discount on tax fee. Therefore they have to write in advance an email toMrs. Venuta specifying their student's number (matricola) and attaching a document to prove their present enrollment at the University Federico II. Students that have attended a preparatory course at CLA has to specify in the e-mail: teacher's name, course's level and course's starting and ending date. After a check by the Direction for the internation certifications, they will receive the coupon with a discount code that have to be digited during the online enrollment for the exam.

For the B1, B2 and C2 examinations, on the same dates it is also possible to take the individual modules of which the exams are composed, if one or more of them were not passed on a previous examination date. The booking and registration procedures are thesame as for the general examination.
The examination fee is not refundable, becausethe Goethe-Institut does not allow this.The CLA has signed an agreement with theGoethe-Institut that grants special rates for Federico II students.
Goethe-Zertifikat A2: € 80,75
Goethe-Zertifikat B1: € 106,25 (4 modules), € 34 (for each individual module)
Goethe-Zertifikat B2: € 123,25 (4 modules), € 42,50 (for each individual module)
Goethe-Zertifikat C1: € 144,50
Goethe-Zertifikat C2: € 187 (4 modules), € 51 (for each individual module).

The results will be madeavailable online about five weeks after the examination date.Subsequently the certificateswill arrive at the CLA offices in Via Mezzocannone 8, 5th floor (entrance fromVia Paladino, 2nd floor). Candidates will be informed of the arrival of thecertificates through a notice that will be published on the notice board ofthis site.Certificates may also becollected by a proxy, through a request to be made by e-mail with the name,surname and date of birth of the proxy to certificazioni.cla@unina.it.
Even in the case of minorchildren, a proxy to one of the parents is required.
