Instituto Cervantes - Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)

DELE stands for Diploma de  Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language).
The  DELE (levels A1 to C2) are official titles that certify the degree of  competence and mastery of the Spanish language issued by the Instituto Cervantes  on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and recognized by the Italian M.I.U.R.according to the DM of 07/03/2012.
The University of Salamanca collaborates  with the Instituto Cervantes in the elaboration and evaluation of the exams.
The DELE certificates have no  expiry date.

Who can take the exams?

The CLA has entered into an agreement with the  Instituto Cervantes which, among other things, grants a 30% discount on the  examination fee. In order to benefit from this discount, students regularly enrolled  at the University of Naples Federico II will have to show proof of enrolment.

22nd November 2024 : A1, A2/B1 escolares levels

The details of the examinations will be communicated by the Instituto Cervantes when you register.

The oral tests may take place in the days before  or after the written test.

Each candidate will take the speaking in a spefic day and at a specific time, that will be notified by e-mail ten days before the written components.

Exam venue and how to register for exam sessions

The exam venue can be either the Instituto Cervantes in Via Chiatamone 6G, 80121 Naples, or one of the other facilities of the University of Naples Federico II.

Candidates may enrol:

1) By bank transfer, sending the following documents to (dele.napoles@cervantes.es): a) the DELE 2024 application form (containing terms and conditions of enrolment for DELE); b) a copy of an identity document, with the candidate's including the following data: name and surname, nationality, date and place of birth. The data declared by the candidate on the application form must be the same as those on the document; c) a copy of the invoice of the the bank transfer to pay the tax fee (IBAN:  IT20P0103003400000063578916, reason for payment: DELE session, level, candidate's name and surname. The registration code will be sent by e-mail.


or


2) registering online, on the website of the Instituto Cervantes (https://clicnapoles.cervantes.es/it/sessione_dele). Federico II students must select the field "Descuento por fidelización, 30%" during registration. Payment will be by credit/debit card. The registration code will be sent by e-mail.

Once enrolled, the candidate will not be entitled to a refund of the amount paid unless they notify their cancellation within 10 days from the enrolment date. If the cancellation is made within 20 days from the registration date, 50% of the amount will be refunded. No refund is possible after this date.

A candidate who fails to attend the exam will not be entitled to a refund of the amount and will not be able to sit the exam in other sessions.


Results

The results of the examinations can be consulted on the website http://diplomas.cervantes.es/ not earlier than two months after the completion of the examination.
The information is personal and to obtain it you will have to type the code that  appears on the registration form.
This document is valid and can be used in  place of the actual certificate, which can be collected from the Instituto Cervantes in Naples after about eight months after taking the exam.
